Launching first of its kind legal tech to target data breaches

Today we announce the pilot of exclusive technology developed to help ecommerce clients identify whether their website has been targeted by hackers.

Created by Pervade Software, TW:detect scans client websites for indicators of compromise. Taylor Wessing is the only law firm in the market to have access to this.

The catalyst for developing this new tool was malware campaigns that affected a number of e-commerce websites, aiming to harvest credit and debit card details .

The tool works by scanning client websites for indicators of compromise drawn from a wide range of feeds. The firm will receive an alert with details of the apparent compromise, which is then raised with the client and their security teams.

Managing Partner Shane Gleghorn commented: “We act for some of the leading international data rich businesses, and this tool has been developed to address their needs. This technology provides opportunities to enhance our specialist expertise and contribute meaningful support to the sector, while also collaborating with the next generation of ecommerce businesses to overcome disruption in the market.”

John Davies, Managing Director of Pervade Software, said: "Taylor Wessing has helped us develop our product during this pilot by looking at innovative applications for us and new ways it can help their clients. Their lawyers are widely known for their expertise in technology and in the sector so, for us, it was a no-brainer that they should be the first law firm that we pilot this with."
