Our international Projects, Energy and Infrastructure team advises national and international clients on complex large-scale industrial plant construction projects as well as on infrastructure and tech-heavy projects in Europe and worldwide.
We advise on infrastructure projects in the renewable energy sector (in particular offshore wind and solar). We work with leading global companies on the construction of chemical and pharmaceutical process and production plants. We support the development of data centres for technology giants and advise on complex IT-infrastructure and tech-heavy projects worldwide. We further focus on shipbuilding, aviation and aerospace technology/satellites.
In addition, we are strong in 'classical' infrastructure topics such as roads, railways, airports and ports.
We support all of these projects throughout their entire lifecycle: from the RfP stage through the drafting and negotiation of the relevant project contracts (in particular construction, supply and service contracts such as EPC, EPCM and O&M contracts including international standard contracts such as FIDIC, NEC, IChemE and Logic) to the construction and operation phase of the project including legal project and claims management as well as dispute resolution. We support our clients in litigation proceedings before state courts and in arbitration proceedings (for example according to ICC rules).
Our lawyers boast extensive practical experience and competence in all these stages of a project, above all in analysing and solving challenges with our clients arising during the implementation and execution of large-scale, long-running projects. We also have extensive experience in all the relevant interface disciplines needed to successfully complete such projects, including public procurement finance, corporate, IP and IT as well as legal project management.
